Cynthia B. “Cindy” Taylor ’84

Cindy Taylor graduated from Texas A&M in 1984 with a BBA in Accounting. She currently serves as the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Oil States International, Inc., a diversified oilfield services company that trades on the NYSE. During her tenure, Oil States grew from a $450 million equity market capitalization to in excess of $5 billion, was ranked No.9 in Forbes magazine's Top 100 Best Mid-Cap Stocks, and was also named in the top 100 fastest growing companies by Fortune magazine in 2006. Prior to this position, Ms. Taylor served as President and Chief Operating Officer, and as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Before joining Oil States, Cindy served as the Chief Financial Officer of L.E. Simmons & Associates, Incorporated (SCF Partners), a private equity firm specializing in oilfield service investments. It was during her tenure at SCF Partners that she helped lead the effort to merge four private companies and take them public via an initial public offering in 2001 which then became Oil States International, Inc. She previously served as the Vice President, Controller of Cliffs Drilling, a contract drilling company, from 1992-99, and she worked for Ernst & Young in public accounting from 1984-92. During her entire public accounting career, she has served companies in the energy industry. Cindy is one of 46 female CEO's in the Fortune 1000.

Cindy is active at Texas A&M University with the 12th Man Foundation, the Mays Business School Development Council and the Association of Former Students. She was honored as a 2011 Mays Business School Outstanding Alumni, a Texas A&M Women's Former Students Network Legacy Award recipient, an Aggie 100 Summit Award recipient, as the 2014 recipient of the McLane Leadership in Business Award, and as a Distinguished Alumnus in 2016. Cindy was also named the 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year national award finalist for Energy and Clean Tech. She is active in many industry and community organizations.

Cindy and her husband of 31 years, Allan '83, have three boys, all of whom are Aggies. Cindy loves sports and the outdoors and particularly enjoys tennis, golf, cycling and skiing.
